Also called Diaper Service Quality (DSQ) or Chinese Prefolds, these are one of the most economical and versatile diapers out there.   If properly cared for they will last through multiple children and can also be used as burp cloths, pocket diaper stuffers, doublers, changing pad mats, and finally as cleaning rags!

Our prefolds are made of 100% unbleached cotton.  They will need to be washed and dried 6-8 times before they reach their full absorbency.  You can also boil them for a few minutes, then wash and dry as usual to bypass the repeated washings needed to "prime" them.  The prefolds will shrink approximately 10% after washing and get softer, thicker, and more quilted.

Sizes:
Preemie: up to 10 pounds  (these can also be used as doublers once baby outgrows them).  Approximately 9" x 11" after washing.
Infant: 10-15 pounds (these can also folded in thirds and used to "stuff" pocket diapers once baby outgrows them).  Approximately 13" x 11 1/2" after washing.
Regular: 15-30 pounds, approximately 17" x 13" after washing.

How many will I need?
Most families find two to three dozen is enough; newborns will need more than toddlers.  This will give you enough diapers to last 2-3 days between laundering.
